Continuing in a series of strange things that I have seen while consulting at hospitals…
Section 126.96.36.199 of the 2012 LSC says there shall be no abrupt changes in elevation of walking surfaces greater than 1/4-inch. Changes in elevation exceeding 1/4-inch but not exceeding 1/2-inch shall be beveled with a slope of 1 to 2. Changes in elevation greater than 1/2-inch are subject to 7.1.7 regarding stairs and ramps.
This ramp does not meet those requirements in 7.1.7 for ramps.
Even something as out-of-the-ordinary as a walk-in refrigerator still has to comply with all of the requirements of the LSC.
